Isn't it funny how people will buy you things to celebrate your being able to buy things in future.

My job? Oh, about six weeks ago.

I was wondering why we didn't. But no, no, don't let me waylay your generosity. Wine for the garbage too? Or, no, champagne?

If you throw away champagne, that will be the end of our friendship altogether.

And yet I'll be swimming in the stuff shortly. It's always the way, when a party's gone well. Bottles and bottles to rehome.
